Narrative

This film was supposed to follow a boy who is separated from his father during World War II. The boy discovers the Island of Sodor where he meets Thomas the Tank Engine and sets out to find his father. This was supposed to be the second feature film in the franchise (following Thomas and the Magic Railroad in 2000) and was scheduled for release in 2010. Due to multiple production issues, the film was constantly pushed back until it was finally canceled in 2015 when HIT Entertainment went out of business and sold its ownership to Mattel.
